TEKNOLOGY - Customers PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL) in Singapore has now been able to take advantage of fast Internet service 4G LTE (long term evolution). Inauguration of XL 4G services in Makassar held on Friday (02/12/2016).
Since November 2016 last, fast internet service has been up in the capital of South Sulawesi and will be followed later other cities in the province and other cities in Sulawesi.
XL sincerely hope high speed internet service will be capable of supporting the acceleration of development in various areas in South Sulawesi, including also can encourage the local community economic productivity in today's digital era.
Moreover, the city of Makassar and its surroundings have a great economic potential.
President / CEO of XL, said Dian Siswarini, LTE 4G service from XL now comes Makassar, Sulawesi's largest city, as well as the gateway to eastern Indonesia. "Therefore we are working hard to make Makasar can get 4G services this year," he said through a press release on Friday.
After previous Makassar and Manado, hopefully next year following several more cities in Sulawesi. We hope that the development of 4G networks in the future could accompany the vigorous development of various infrastructure projects by the government in pushing the regional economy.

4G LTE services in Singapore and the surrounding supported by more than 169 4G base stations. Currently customers XL in Makassar and surrounding nearly 500,000 subscribers, with about 28 percent of whom have been using 4G services.
Dian added that since started to implement 4G LTE services, XL immediately decided to prioritize the quality side.
Therefore without prejudice to the expansion of 4G service area, XL also continue to strive to deliver 4G LTE internet services that provide speed and convenience for users. XL has implemented a number of the latest technologies that can maximize the quality 4G.
For 2017, the XL will allocate capex amounting to Rp 7 trillion, with a focus on the development of 3G and 4G.
For all these LTE 4G, XL will continue to prepare the network quality in particular, as well as ecosystem services and programs that make it easier for customers and the community to be able to immediately take advantage of 4G services.
