TEKNOLOGY - Android Wear 2.0 really enthusiasts. Many large companies who say they will not release a device based OS watches Google's latest fib.
The latest news coming out of Moto, a subsidiary of Lenovo. The China-based company into the next vendor that said it would not release the Android Wear-based smartwatch 2.0, even generations later.
In an interview with The Verge, Head of Global Product Development Moto Shakil Barkat revealed that the smartwatch market today is not so popular. Therefore, Moto finally decided not to develop and market the Moto 360 (smartwatch-made Moto) the latest in 2016.
The decision to stop the development of smart watches also say they will continue in 2017, until the later years. Android Wear 2.0 itself would be released next year, which can be interpreted Moto will not release the OS-based devices.
"Wearable no appeal is enough for us to continue the development from year to year," said Barkat, as KompasTekno summarized from The Verge, Friday (12/02/2016). This statement is considered a certainty Moto stop marketing the smart watches.
This decision seems to be a new heavy blow for Google. Previously, Huawei and LG had already stated it will not make the Android Wear-based smartwatch 2.0.
Neither LG, Huawei and Motorola actually a loyal partner Google. All three are quite diligent released OS-based smart watches it.
For Moto itself, is now released two smartwatch, the Moto 360 and the Moto 360 two generations. The second generation device promised would get updated Android Wear 2.0 when released later. Meanwhile, the first generation will not miss an update.
Even so, when the market re-grow, Moto said it would re-consider returning to business smart watches.
